“I have been working as a banker for 35 years, but now I am at peace with myself after having healed some people,” says Singh.
But what made the banker think of Reiki therapy? “I suffered from health problems that were not getting cured even after taking medicines. Somebody, later, helped me through Reiki therapy. The fact that even serious diseases can be cured through this therapy amazed me and I decided to learn it,” he adds.
The therapy, in his words, involves “transferring the energy of the universe to the patient through a medium”. The banker has been involved in curing several ailments like kidney stones, ulcers, fever, joint problems, depression and other mental and physical problems through the therapy.
For Singh, Reiki therapy starts where allopathy ends. “You need not be in touch with the patient. All you need to know is the problem he is suffering from and just by concentrating and transferring energy, he can be cured,” says Singh.
While he has invested a considerable sum in learning this unique therapy, he is helping others free of cost.
“My conscience does not allow me to take money. I do it as social service,” says Singh, who has even cured his father through the therapy.
So, how does he feel being a banker and a healer at the same time? “While banking is my profession, healing people is my passion. The former helps me make a living while the latter helps me serve humanity,” smiles Singh.
