Delhi claims overall trophy

Panchkula Delhi Zone claimed the overall trophy on the concluding day of the All Indian Mahatma Hansraj Inter-Zonal Tournament for girls played at Tau Devi Lal Stadium, Sector 3 on Tuesday. Hosts Panchkula Zone claimed the trophy in judo while the gymnastics trophy went to the Punjab Zone. Jharkhand claimed the top spot in athletics on the concluding day of the tournament.

Aastha claims U-16 title
Panchkula:
Aastha Thakur of Satluj Public School, Panchkula claimed the U-16 girls' title with a 5-3 win over Sugandha of Satluj Public School on the concluding day of the Eighth Satluj Open Tennis Tournament played at Satluj Public School, Sector 4. In the U-12 girls' final, Ishdeep of Gymkhana Club ended the challenge of Riya of Satluh Public School with a 5-0 win while in the U-10 girls' final, Aanchal of Little Flower School scored a 5-3 win over Neha of Satluj Public School. In the U-14 boys' category, Sanchit of Satluj Public School ended the challenge of Yash Vardhan of Gymkhana Club with a 7-2 win while in the U-12 boys' final, Mantavya of Satluj Public School scored a 6-4 win over Nitish Jolly of Gymkhana Club. In the U-10 boys' category, Samay of Gymkhana Club scored a 6-4 win over Arshpreet of Gymkhana Club.

Punjab women crush Haryana
PATIALA:
Led by Harmanpreet Kaur's superb all-round performance (93 not out, 3 for 44), Punjab registered a comprehensive 10-wicket win over Haryana in the first match of the North Zone Inter-State Women Cricket Tournament held in Patiala on Tuesday. Batting first, Haryana team scored a total of 168 runs losing all wickets in 49 overs. Medium-pacer Harmanpreet destroyed the Haryana top-order and picked-up three crucial wickets. Off-spinner Komal too bowled well and scalped two wickets. From Haryana Sunil Gill made 76 runs. In reply, the Punjab openers, Harmanpreet (93) and Reva (52) achieved the target with ease in 28.5 overs with unbeaten knocks.
