Delhi outplay HP, pile up points

New Delhi, March 3 The Delhi team continued their good run in the ongoing All India Football Festival (AIFF) under-14 Football Festival at Goa. According to information reaching here, Delhi outplayed Himachal Pradesh 8-0 to maintain a clean slate in their group matches.

Delhi’s skipper Kislay Singh Sajwan, who has given a good account of his performance in the tournament so far, today came up with another good show, scoring three goals out of eight. He scored in the 12th, 15th and 48th minute of the contest. The eventual winners were leading by five goals at the break.

After the change of ends, the Delhi team pumped in three more goals. Yudhvir Singh (5th minute and 7th minute), Supriya Debarath (25th minute), Ashish (37th minute) and Srikant (56th minute) were the other goal getters for the teams. After this win today, Delhi have 114 points in their kitty from as many as five wins and one draw.

Earlier in the tournament, Delhi had scored a 7-1 win over Gujarat, and defeated Jammu and Kashmir 3-0. Delhi had also defeated Haryana 3-0 and Uttarakhand 2-1. The had drawn 1-1 with Karnataka.
