Chandigarh, March 4 Dera chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh has moved the Punjab and Haryana High Court seeking quashing of the three cases, two murders and a rape, registered against him by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).

Taking ground of political vendetta, the Dera chief has demanded stay of proceedings in the three cases presently going in the Ambala court.

The CBI had submitted a status report in the High Court stating it had already submitted the three chargesheets in the lower court in which the Dera chief was an accused. While in the rape case the Dera chief is the only accused, in two murder cases the Dera chief has been booked on charges of criminal conspiracy.

He had termed all the cases as false and politically motivated. The case will come up for hearing tomorrow before Justice L N Mittal of the Punjab and Haryana High Court.
