Chandigarh, February 7 The Punjab and Haryana High Court has issued notices to SP, Hissar; SDM, Hansi and Deputy Commissioner, Hisar on a petition filed by Jai Singh, resident of Hisar.

The petitioner has sought directions to constitute a special investigation team to investigate the atrocity and demolishing of house of Dalits on January 8 by a mob.

The petitioner has further sought directions to identify public servants who did not take any pre-emptive action to stop the atrocity.

Singh has further demanded immediate arrest of the accused in the case and create a sense of security and confidence in minds of victims since they were still being threatened to withdraw the case against the accused.

Singh, in his petition, has demanded reconstruction of his damaged house and his relatives at state expenses.

The petitioner has alleged that his house and the house of several Dalits were demolished due to a common land measuring 50 acres falling in Hisar owned by the Dalits.
