Patiala, February 25 Two more relatives of BIS Chahal, media advisor to former Punjab chief minister Capt Amarinder Singh, were granted bail by a local court here today.

Jaswinder Pal and Surjit Singh, co-accused in the disproportionate assets case registered against the former media advisor, have been charged with buying benami property in the name of Chahal.

Meanwhile, the court also issued fresh summons to Chahal’s wife Jaswinder Kaur and son Bikramjit Singh, besides another, in the case.

The summons issued by the court earlier were today returned undelivered, as no one at their Patiala residence received the summons. The defence counsel had also given their UK addresses to the court.

Meanwhile, a Patiala court also heard another case of cheating registered against Chahal by a Mohali-based caterer. The case was adjourned. Chahal was present in the court during the hearing of both the cases.
