Khule, who was unmarried, was staying with his elder brother and family in a single storeyed chawl at Shivkrupa Nagar in Kanjurmarg.
“Khule had retired to his room on the top floor on Sunday night after dinner. The next morning when his brother went upstairs, he found Khule’s body hanging from a beam on the ceiling. He immediately notified the control room, which in turn informed the Kanjurmarg police. A case of accidental death has been registered,” said police sub-inspector Sambhaji Bhoite of Kanjurmarg police station.
The police said the deceased had left no suicide note. They said the family is shaken by Khule’s death as they claim that he had no reason to end his life.
“The family members never fought among themselves and neither did Khule tell them about any problems that he might have had. Occasionally, he would go away for two-three days and return but the family members never probed into his trips,” said Bhoite.
