Dr Chahal and Dr Kanwar retire

Ludhiana, January 31 A Farewell function was organised today in the honour of Dr Gulzar Singh Chahal, Dean, College of Agriculture, who retired on attaining the age of superannuation.

The Deans, Directors and other officers of the university participated in it. Vice-Chancellor Dr Manjit Singh Kang highlighted the contributions of Dr Chahal, towards the cause of improvement in agricultural education and research. He stated that Dr Chahal, with his sincerity and dedication to work, has created an example for others.

Others who spoke highly of Dr Chahal included PAU Registrar Dr RK Mahey, Dr NS Malhi, Dr Tejwant Singh, Dr VK Sehgal, Dr Neelam Grewal, Dr PK Gupta, Dr Jagtar Singh Dhiman, Dr SP Mehra and Dr Jaswinder Kaur Sangha.

A farewell function was also organised for Dr Jagwant Singh Kanwar, who retired as Head, Department of Vegetable Crops. Those who spoke at the function included Dr Milkha Singh Aulakh, Dr OS Parmar, Dr Satpal Mehra,Dr Jagtar Singh Dhiman, Dr Ramesh Kumar Sadvarti and Dr Prithpal Kaur Chahal.
