Director Public Instructions (Schools), S K Setia said, “We have got the idea from the West, where there are several websites catering to students under stress. Content on the website will help students, especially those who find it difficult to communicate”.
The content will be formulated by experts keeping in mind the psychology of children, particularly teenagers. These experts, most of whom are handling helplines for the department, will work in tandem with professional experts in the city.
Officials believe the best part about the move is that children can access content in the privacy of their homes. The website will also be hyperlinked to several other websites for assistance. It will also have helpline numbers in case children are not satisfied with the content available on the Internet.
“We intend to make the content very interesting for the students. It will be more or less in a question-answer format,” said Setia.
