Chandigarh, February 22 The Punjab and Haryana High Court has summoned files pertaining to the grant of license given to M/s Emaar MGF Land Private Limited, New Delhi for construction works in Gurgaon.

The High Court has also issued notices to the secretary of the Haryana government and Director, Town and Country Planning, Haryana, Sector 18 on a petition filed by M/s High Responsible Realtors Private Limited, New Delhi.

The petitioner has moved the HC challenging the grant of licence for construction at Gurgaon given to M/s Emaar MGF Land Private Limited. The petitioner claimed that the authorities had denied the grant of license to the company.

The petition also sought the quashing of an order dated December 5, 2007, whereby grant of license was refused to the petitioner.

The petitioner submitted that he had purchased land in Gurgaon. The company had filed an application seeking the grant of commercial license with the Director, Town and Country Planning, Haryana for setting up of a commercial colony in Sector 60, Gurgaon.
