New Delhi The two absconding members of the Satte gang busted after the Green Park shootout have been identified. Sonu Chikna and Pappan, ‘bad characters’ of East Delhi, had fled in a Santro car with Nadir, Honey and one more unidentified man during the encounter, the police said. Nadir, an Afghan national, and Honey were arrested on the same day.

After interrogating Harpal and Nadir, the police raided a house in Nizamuddin in search of the two, but they fled. Their hideouts in Noida, Gurgaon and Ghaziabad were also raided without success. Police sources said the two gangs — led by Satte and Bittu — often operated together. Bittu, a ‘bad character’ of Maujpur in North West Delhi, had earlier met Satte in Tihar Jail.

However, on Monday, the Satte gang went to Green Park with the intention to rob two banks without the help of the Bittu gang, the police said.

Meanwhile, the police said Nadir is a drug peddler. His mother, arrested recently in a drug peddling case, is serving 11 years imprisonment in Tihar jail.
