New Delhi, February 22 A half-goal start on handicap proved to be a short-lived advantage for Jaipur Polo Company today, as Santiago Estrada led Cavalry (Red) to a 7-3 1/2 victory in the Prozone Scindia Gold Cup. The Argentinian scored five goals in this match at the Army Equestrian Centre and had a role to play in the remaining strikes for his team as well.

The first chukker saw Cavalry (Red) gaining an early advantage as Estrada notched up two quick goals. The chukker was coming to an end when a foul by Cavalry (Red) gave Jaipur Polo Company a spot-hit penalty, which was converted by Manupal Godara.

Cavalry (Red) stared the second chukker in attack as HH Tunku Ismail Ibrahim put in two after receiving good passes from Santiago De Estrada. Jaipur Polo Company, who were playing a defensive game, did not score a goal in this chukker.

As the third chukker got underway, Jaipur Polo Company tried to find a way back with one more goal by Abhimanyu Pathak. At the throw-in, Vishal Singh of Cavalry (Red) got the ball and passed it to Santiago De Estrada, who made a brilliant run towards goal and scored the fifth for his team. Estrada scored two more goals and had a hat-trick at the end of the chukker.

At the start of the final chukker, Manupal Godara scored the third goal for Jaipur Polo Company. At the end of the game Cavalry (Red) ran out the winners, the final score being 7 - 3 ½ goals.
