Khanna The Khanna police claim to have solved a blind murder of a eunuch by arresting two eunuchs. On April 9 last year, the police had recovered a headless body of Kamla from a canal, who was allegedly killed over a monetary dispute. The accused Davinder Singh alias Ghuchi, a resident of village Kulara under Sadar Police Station and Surinder Singh alias Chhinda Baba, a resident of Bhanbhori village under Malerkotla police station, have been sent to judicial custody.

Khanna SSP Arunpal Singh said, “Both the accused had an altercation with the victim after a ‘Jago’ celebration in Azad Nagar at Khanna.”

The SSP added, “The accused killed the victim with a kirpan and separated the head from the body and threw it in a canal near Nabha.”

The SSP also claimed that the police had succeeded in arresting 13 proclaimed offenders (POs) and 55 absconders in 2008. He added that seven POs of other districts were also arrested during the period by the Khanna police.
