E-Week to push green initiatives

Pune On February 7, the third Entrepreneurship Week India was launched across the country with almost 400,000 students and professionals showcasing their entrepreneurial spirit – doubling the number of participants from last year. E-Week India, run by the National Entrepreneurship Network, is designed to improve India's entrepreneurial ecosystem by spreading the entrepreneurial spirit, and informing and inspiring young people about entrepreneurship. E-Week India, which ends on February 14, highlights green business opportunities and sustainable development, stated a press release.

Over 10,000 students are expected to actively participate and spread the word to several more. The Hira Ben Nanavati Institue of Management and Research, Indira school of Business, Symbiosis Institute of Management Studies, Indira Institute of Management and the Sinhgad Institute of Management are some of the colleges that will take the lead in hosting the events this year.

Tin sheets of over Rs 10 lakh stolen
The Nigdi police have booked some unidentified persons for allegedly stealing tin sheets worth Rs. 10.80 lakh at Akurdi on early morning Saturday. The complaint in this regard has been filed by Mahadev Santram Mulik (28) of Talawade. According to police, Mulik is working as driver at Silver road lines. On Friday night he parked the truck loaded with tin sheets near his office at Akurdi.

In the morning some unidentified person stole the truck and took it to Jadhavwadi near Akurdi and fled with the sheets, the police said.
