Execute PPP projects by Feb 15: CM

Lucknow Taking into consideration the flaws in private public partnership (PPP) projects, Chief Minister Mayawati has asked her officials to seriously consider the suggestions given by investors, and thereby ensure execution of all schemes by February 15. Mayawati said this while reviewing the progress of PPP projects ion the state.

The chief minister expressed her annoyance at the delay in plying of buses by private bus operators. She asked the department officials to prepare a fresh plan in this connection in a week’s time and complete the selection of the developer after getting their plan approved by the government. She also directed the officials to prepare a plan for the formation of a subsidiary company of UPSRTC for the implementation of other schemes of the Transport department, including development of bus stands.

Mayawati also asked the officials to get Cabinet approval for speedy execution of High Security Number Plate scheme. She clarified that the scheme will be implemented only through the PPP model.

The officials were also asked to make a plan for the construction of hostels for SC and ST girls, the construction of which should be done by the Noida and Greater Noida authority.
