Chandigarh, February 4 The Punjab and Haryana High Court has sought an explanation from an Additional Sessions Judge for using “objectionable” language against the court.

The issue came to the notice of the High Court on Monday when a bail application of an accused in a bank robbery came up before a judge.

The case pertained to a bank robbery in which four accused had been booked by the Haryana Police. One of the accused was denied regular bail by the trial court.

The accused moved the High Court which allowed him bail.

Taking the same judgement as the basis for seeking bail, another co-accused moved the trial court.

Dismissing his bail, the Additional Sessions Judge observed that the High Court had not appreciated the material facts of the case.

The High Court took strong offence to the comment.

The explanation of the ASJ will be placed before the Inspecting Judge, Justice Surya Kant of the High Court.
