Eminent speakers would exchange information through talks, group discussions, visual presentations and practical exercises with the participants exploring the commercial viability of nanotechnology i.e. bringing nanotechnology from the research labs to the markets as products and services for end users.
Les Dangerfield, the Deputy Director of British Council in India, who came to Pune on Sunday and also attended the first day of the workshop, says that through this venture, he hopes “the right people would get to know each other so both the nations can get together to begin working (on nanotechnology) at an early stage.”.
The learned lectures for the workshop include Tim Harper, founder of Cientifica Ltd., world’s leading source of global business intelligence about nanotechnologies, David Secher, Founder and Director, Praxis Courses Ltd., Gerry George, Professor, UK’s Tanaka Business School and S. Sivaram, Director, NCL amongst others. For the same, the Library would be focussing more on informational events like this, promising that the populace of Pune can look forward towards more cultural, educational and scientific exchanges between the two nations. “There would be more of such events. We want to make the British Library more relevant to the modern young India by improving what we offer”, says Les.
