Rishi, who left a note addressed to Saxena’s daughter in which he admitted committing the murder, told the police he committed the crime as the 82-year-old did not let him visit his sick mother.
The police said they cracked the case by tracing all calls made from Saxena’s house on Monday night and Tuesday morning. “We found a number of calls had been made to a number in Faridabad. We then found that Rishi had been calling his brother-in-law,” Gurgaon Police ACP (East) Sumit Kumar said.
Kumar said the police raided several locations in the NCR following the leads given by Rishi’s brother-in-law before getting to him. Rishi had fled with Rs 3,000, Saxena’s mobile phone and an old camera, the police said.
