B K Patnaik, Principal Chief Conservator of Forest (Wildlife), said: "The tiger has become dangerous. It killed a man, dragged the body and ate it. We have discussed the matter with the Centre as well.”
Wildlife Trust of India (WTI) Chairman Ashok Kumar said: "We do not agree. We will try to capture it alive.” Patnaik said the decision was taken after attempts to track it with the help of the WTI, WWF and NTCA were unsuccessful.
