Farewell function organised at GNGC

Ludhiana, March 7 The students of Department of Arts of Guru Nanak Girls College, Model Town, today bid farewell to their seniors at a party hosted by them on Friday.

The function was presided over by the college principal, Dr Charanjit Mahal, and president of Guru Nanak Education Trust, Gurbir Singh. To add colour to the occasion, the students presented a cultural show in which several dance and song programmes were organised. The major highlight of the show was modeling show organised by the senior students.

Deepika was crowned Miss Farewell while Harminder Kaur and Jasbir Kaur were declared first and second runners up respectively. The winners were decided following two-round competition. In the first round, students gave their introduction and in the second round, they answered the questions posed by the judges. Fun games were also played and students gave compliments to their respective teachers. Out-going students presented gifts to the principal and their teachers.

The judges on the occasion were Dr Jaskirat Kaur, Surinder Pal Singh and Amrinder Singh. Dr Charanjit Mahal crowned the winners and also advised the students to work hard and come out in flying colours in the annual examinations.
