Financier-son murder: Cops rope in special divers to recover bodies

Panchkula With the bodies of financier Vinod Mittal and his four-year-old son, Yashan, not having been located as yet, the Panchkula police have roped in special divers from Bhram Sarovar, Kurukshetra, to assist them in their search operations.

The father-son duo was allegedly murdered by five persons after they went missing on February 14.

“While search teams have been sent to various areas, special divers have now been pitched in for assistance in locating the bodies,” said Superintendent of Police, Panchkula, Amitabh Dhillon.

The relatives of the Mittals, meanwhile, met Dhillon on Monday urging him to expedite search operations and locate the bodies as soon as possible.

Four persons have already been arrested for murdering the duo including, Ashok Kumar (20), a resident of Abheypur in Industrial Area, Sanjay Kumar, in his 20s and a resident of Abheypur, Mobin alias Chotu Khan (19), a resident of Saharanpur (UP) and Sonu, a resident of Hanumangarh. The Panchkula SP said the hunt for Raju, another accused, is on.
