Firing during kite flying: two youths booked

Ludhiana The Division number 4 police have registered an attempt to murder case against two youths along with their supporters for allegedly firing bullets at two brothers in the Old Bazar locality on Monday.

However, no arrest has been made as yet.

Harsh and Maddi, along with a few of their accomplices who are yet to be identified, have been booked on charges of attempt to murder under the provisions of the Arms Act.

Division number 4 SHO Darshan Singh told mediapersons that during the preliminary investigations, it was established that the accused fired at Tarun and Keshav on Monday.

The SHO said the owner of the pistol is yet to be confirmed. He said the police were conducting raids to arrest the accused.

Meanwhile the condition of the injured brothers, who were operated upon at the CMC Hospital late last evening, is stated to be out of danger.
