First ever Marathi book on mobile phone

Pune Vice-chancellor of University of Pune Narendra Jadhav on Thursday released the first ever Marathi book on mobile phone Mobile Maza Sobati written by chairman (IT application) of computer society of India Deepak Shikarpur.

Shikarpur has written this book with the help of Vinay Sathe, CEO of Softspin firm. Utkarasha Prakashan has published the book. “The book deals with the history of mobile phone, wireless technology, GSM features, security aspects, careers in mobile computing and also the future of mobile phones,” said Shikarpur. “It will be a user guide for many mobile phone users especially senior citizens and those from the rural background,” he said.

Jadhav said our life is surrounded by technology and the book would serve as a ready reckoner for many users. Additional director general of police Jayant Umranikar, noted industrialist Leela Poonawala, Sudhakar Joshi of Utkarsha Prakashan and Sanjay Gandhi were present on the occasion.
