Vadodara Five medical practitioners were caught practising without proper degrees on the first day of the inspection drive in Dahod district, conducted by a team of doctors and health officers.

Three were from Dhanpur village and two were from Limkheda.

Dr DB Rathod, the Chief District Health Officer (CDHO) of Dahod, said: “The doctors were caught either for having fake degrees or practising without any certification.”

The guilty doctors reportedly also confronted the members of the investigation team.

Later, the team filed a police case against a private practitioner at Katwa village for misbehaviour.

“The doctor created a major ruckus. He used foul language and misbehaved when the team went for verification,” said a member of the inspection team.

He added: “We had to file an FIR against him at the Limkheda police station.”

The investigations will continue for the next few days.
