Big bang
Ringing in the New Year with a ‘big’ start was radio FM station Big 92.7 that concluded its ‘Ek Saal Free Maal’ by giving out the final ‘Big’ tickets for 2009 at Sukhna Lake this Wednesday evening. ‘Ek Saal Free Maal’ was a combination of ‘on’ and ‘off-air’ events essentially through a music quiz. Contestants answering correct won a ‘Big’ ticket that entitled them to a year’s free supply of fuel, grocery, movie tickets, gym memberships, dinner coupons, apparels, DTH connection + rental, mobile phone and talktime, fitness and beauty vouchers, beverages and much more in 2009. Two winners were announced each day while the ‘New Year Dhamaka’ on Wednesday saw listeners winning a ticket every hour! To add to the merriment, a cake cutting ceremony was also conducted at the Lake. “New Year is the time of spreading joy and cheer, the season of party and music and what better way to celebrate than to offer listeners some humorous on-air content along with rocking music. I am sure with offerings of ‘Ek Saal Free Maal’, listeners will have a rocking new year,” remarked Siddharth Bhardwaj, Regional Director, North - I, BIG 92.7 FM.
