New Delhi The Central Industrial Security Force celebrated the 40th CISF Day at the 5th Reserve Battalion in Indirapuram, Ghaziabad on Tuesday. A parade was reviewed by Minister of State for Home Sriprakash Jaiswal.

During the function, CISF Director General N R Das said: “Our main aim is to use technical gadgetry in all important and sensitive assignments — an intelligent mix of men and machines. The CISF is marching ahead with its mission of securing the nation’s assets as well as providing foolproof security to installations with great zeal and enthusiasm, all the while standing true to its motto ‘Protection and Security’ in every respect.”

Jaiswal too congratulated the force. “In the aftermath of the Mumbai attacks in November last year, the central government has made an amendment in the CISF Act, 1968 with regard to the deployment of the CISF in the private sector,” he said.

He also assured reinforcements for the force for it to meet new demands from various undertakings.
