Model United Nations is an academic simulation of the United Nations that aims to educate participants about civics, effective communication, globalisation and multilateral diplomacy. In Model UN, students take on roles as foreign diplomats and participate in a simulated session of an intergovernmental organisation. Project director Harsh Nangia, who has been organising this event for the last six years, says, “We wish to create awareness on global issues and encourage the youth to participate in this forum in a bid to create world leaders.”
RIIMUN, in its 11th year, focused on varied issues from Sexual Violence in Conflict to Future of the NPT, Child Labour, Nuclear Energy and Terrorism to name a few.
