Chandigarh AIESEC, an international students’ organisation, added a new colour to the festival on Holi. “We celebrated the day with interns from Egypt, Ukraine, China, Netherlands and UK,” said Vikram Jain, a member of the NGO. Apart from informing the interns about the significance of the festival, Indian delicacies were served and the mood was set with popular Holi songs. “Being socially-sensitive and responsible, we celebrated with minimum water,” adds Manveer Grewal. “It made me feel like a ten -year-old. It was a unique experience and gives me the licence to let my hair down,” smiled Yulia from Ukraine, as Maria from UK nodded in agreement. “I will celebrate the festival with my folks next year,” she said.

Meanwhile, Aggarwal Beopar Manch also organised a chandan tilak holi mahotsav at the community centre in Sector 21 on Thursday. Union Minister of State for Finance Pawan Kumar Bansal and Justice A N Jindal of Punjab and Haryana High Court were special guests on the occasion.
