Foundation stone laid for hospital in Orissa

Mumbai, March 5 The Asian Heart Institute announced the plans of opening its latest multi specialty hospital in Chandrasekharpur, Orissa. Spread on an area of 1,50,000 square feet, the 300-bedded hospital is being built with an investment of Rs 150 crores and expected to start functioning from 2010. Dr Ramakanta Panda, Vice Chairman, Asian Heart Institute said, “With this expansion we would like to extend our quality healthcare treatment to patients across the east.” The hospital will have 12 ultra modern operations theatres, 100 ICUs and fully equipped modernised pathology among other facilities.
