Four arrested for raping minor

Mumbai The Bhandup police on Saturday arrested four youths for raping a minor girl. According to the police, the incident took place on January 31. As per the police, the girl stays with her parents at Hanuman Tekdi slums in Bhandup. The accused stay in the same area. The father of the girl is a painter but due to his ailing health, he was bedridden and her mother is a maid. “On the night of January 31, when the girl was out, the four accused accosted her and after threatening her with bodily harm, they took her to a room in the slum and raped her. As the girl was threatend with dire consequences, she didn’t disclose it to her parents,” said Senior Police Inspector Prakash Jadhav. Recently, when the girl started having pain in some parts of her body, she disclosed the incident to her mother. Her mother immediately approached the Bhandup police and registered a case against the assailants. “Acting on the complaint, we arrested the youths on Saturday morning. They have been charged with criminal intimidation and raping a minor.
