Four minors killed, four injured in jhuggi fire

NOIDA, January 3 Four children of a family were burnt to death, while four other members were seriously injured in a jhuggi fire in Katthala area in Pilakhua, Ghaziabad, on Wednesday night. The injured have been admitted in Guru Tegh Bahadur Hospital. They are in serious condition, doctors said.

Forty-five-year-old Indrapal and his wife Kusum were injured in a fire in their jhuggi, police said. The dead have been identified as Komal (13), Monika (8) and Nirmala (3) and Ashish (10). The other two children — five-year-old girl Sonia and two-month-old boy have sustained serious burns. The police have not been able to identify the cause of the fire till now.
