You don’t always have to win to succeed. Although they didn’t win any of the eight trophies up for grabs at Jack Daniel’s Legendary Mash Rock Awards at Ministry of Sound last week, Delhi-based industrial rock outfit Frequency bagged a deal that is bound to get them some real attention. Noted music director Sandeep Chowta has offered the band a three-year contract with Sony BMG and Columbia Records, and the band can’t believe their luck. “Chowta told us that he loved the vibe of our band, as well as our new-age music with electronics,” said Akshay Raheja of Frequency. If they accept the offer, Frequency will be under Chowta’s wing. He will sharpen and groom the boys and their music, and go for the kill with Columbia Records. Time to make some more noise.
