Vadodara In yet another twist to C C Mehta auditorium incident, M S University (MSU) authorities sealed Art Faculty General Secretary (FGS) Kavita Patel’s office on Tuesday afternoon. University sources said on February 3, there was a rampage at Patel’s office around 5 pm and there could be a connection between both the incidents.

Prof Nitin Vyas, Dean of Arts Faculty, said: “I was instructed by the authorities to seal FGS office. Besides, there could be rivalry between Patel and other student leaders since both the incidents happened at the same time.”

Vice-Chancellor Prof Ramesh Goyal said: “One cannot rule out the fact that some student leaders want to sabotage Patel’s image.  We are investigating the issue keeping both the incidents in mind.”

Prof Goyal, who was in Delhi, told Newsline, “I will try to conduct an unbiased inquiry into the incident. It can also have links with university politics as Syndicate elections are on the cards.”

While Patel was mum over the issue, university authorities said they suspect some of the student leaders’ involvment in both the incidents.
