Sources in the CPM said the blueprint will be crucial for the party. Right now, the Front is waiting for Opposition leader Mamata Banerjee to declare her political ally at the Centre.

Sources in the Front said the meeting was initiated by Bose to ensure unity during the elections.

“After the delimitation of constituencies, there might be some complications on seat sharing among the partners. So this time, the unity among partners is more important than ever,” said a senior Front leader.

“We have asked the district-level leaders of the Front to resolve the issue through bipartite meetings. Issues raised after delimitation will also be discussed,” said Bose.

The Front, meanwhile, congratulated the people of Bangladesh for electing the 14-party coalition led by the Awami League with a massive mandate.

Bose expressed hope that the restoration of democracy will strengthen the Indo-Bangla friendship.
