Get set for Praznic '09
Keeping in sync with the students' interest and passion, the University Institute of Applied Management Sciences, (UIAMS) Panjab University is all set to bring a three-day electrifying fest Praznic '09. Throwing light on the fest, Prof.A.K.Sehajpal, director of UIAMS says," "India is transforming into a global power junction and we are preparing our management students for the market. This fest is a kind of exercise for them as they are managing and organizing each and every aspect of it. Praznic is their baby." Rohan Sharma, student coordinator of the event pitches in, "The fest will be an appropriate blend of academic activities along with cultural and gaming events. The first day of the fest would be marked by a business seminar devoted to special lectures by eminent business personalities to name a few, Pawan Aggarwal CEO, Nutan Mumbai Tiffin Supply Charitable Trust, the only business organization in the country to have conferred with 'six sigma' international award, Sadakkdulla, regional director, RBI and many more." The fest will also see a plethora of events like fun cricket, creative art competitions, various business events like that of virtual stock marketing in which the participants will trade with fake money, business quiz, debate competition and inter-college folk dance competition. The star attraction is fashion show, Ada '09, which has been choreographed by Rachhan Ahluwalia, a Chandigarh-based designer. City rock groups promise a rocking act. Besides this a salsa work shop will also be conducted. "Music fans, get ready to sing along with Punjabi singer Amrinder Gill, on January 22," smiles Rohan. Action!
