Ludhiana, February 27
The 17th general body meeting of Housefed, Punjab, was held today at Circuit House, in which members of more than 250 housing societies of Punjab took part. The meeting was held under the chairmanship of Krishan Kumar Bawa. MD Housefed VK Bansal presented the report. He said that so far, Housefed has given loans worth Rs 933 crores. Bansal added that in the current financial year, loans worth Rs 120 crore will be distributed. He pointed out that 168 flats in Amritsar, 90 in Ludhiana, 632 in Mohali and 150 in Kapurthala are under construction. A loan mela was also organised. Bawa said that the department will consider the problems being faced by residents while getting loans. In addition, another meeting was conducted to consider the policies for the betterment of employees working in the department.
