Girish Karnad showcases his ‘Wedding Album’

Ludhiana The Ludhiana Sanskritik Samagam (LSS) had organised an interaction with the theatre artistes performing in Girish Karnad’s play ‘Wedding Album’ which was to be staged in the city on Saturday evening.

Addressing a press conference here, LSS office bearers said the play, which has being directed by Lillete Dubey, was a humourous insight into the country’s traditions and culture.

The play features renowned actors including Utkarsh Mazumdar, Smita Jayakar, Ira Dubey, Pravishi Das, Satchit Pranik, Amar Talwar, Deepika Amin, Raaghav Chanana, Seema Azami and Armaan Sunny. All of them addressed the media speaking about their experiences while working on the venture.

The ‘Wedding Album’ is Girish Karnad’s contemporary play which explores the traditional Indian wedding in a globalised and technologically advanced India.
