While no arrests have been made yet, Crime Investigating Agency in-charge Inspector Kulbhushan said teams had been sent to different areas in Punjab and Delhi to arrest the accused. The Panchkula police, meanwhile, have asked all jewellers of the adjoining states to inform them in case anyone tried to sell the stolen ornaments.
“Panchkula SP Sandeep Khirwar has asked the jewellers of Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, UP and Delhi to help them in arresting the accused. The department has given the mobile numbers and e-mail addresses of several officers,” said a police officer.
