Ahmedabad At the “Golden run of Golden Gujarat for Golden India” programme on Sunday morning, the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) in Gujarat will test the waters for attracting youths to its programmes to be organised in the coming days.

BJYM state president Jitu Waghani said he expected at least 5,000 youths to take part in the event starting from the Sardar Patel Stadium at 7 am on Sunday. “Depending on the response, we will repeat this in other districts too,” Waghani told reporters on Saturday.

State BJP president Purshottam Rupala will flag off the run, which will culminate at the stadium after covering areas like the Sardar Patel Colony, Vijay Char Rasta, Gujarat University, L D Engineering College, St Xavier’s College Corner, Nest Hotel, C G Road and Swastik Char Rasta.

BJYM general secretary Jigar Inamdar and treasurer Ketan Shah said the run was a step towards realising the dream of a “golden India” while rooting out terror, unemployment, price rise and the economic slump, by mobilising the youth to the cause of Bharat Nirman.
