Ahmedabad The Gujarat government reacted strongly to the state’s Leader of the Opposition, Shaktisinh Gohil’s accusation that Chief Minister Narendra Modi was misleading everyone by feeding fudged figures on investment achievements during successive biennial Vibrant Gujarat Global Investors’ Summits (VGGIS). Gujarat government spokesperson Jay Narayan Vyas and state minister Saurabh Dalal said the Congress was misleading and besmirching Gujarat by levelling allegations about investment figures.

In a statement issued on Saturday evening, Vyas said that while all the leading industrialists and investors are coming together on a common platform on the occasion of Vibrant Gujarat, the Congress, through its allegations, has reflected its “perverted” mindset and the people of Gujarat will not pardon them ever.

The BJP minister said that Gohil, by comparing Modi’s figure claims to financial fraud of Satyam, was attempting to besmirch Gujarat’s pride. He further alleged that Satyam fraud has only reflected the UPA government’s failure in containing fraud.
