Lucknow After the Allahabad High Court ordered a transfer of cases of Etah court to Mainpuri in the wake of indefinite lawyers’ strike at Etah, the state government on Wednesday urged the court to reconsider its decision. While passing the order, the court had asked the government to issue a notification in this regard. The government said the move will affect the litigants among the weaker section. “People will have to bear the additional burden to travel to Mainpuri to attend the hearings,” a press communiqué issued by the government stated. It added that there was no direct railway link between Etah and Mainpuri and other means of transport will be an expensive option for people. The court had taken the decision as cases started piling up at Etah court due to indefinite strike by lawyers protesting against the creation of the new Kanshiram Nagar district for the last one month.
