As a step forward, Grammangal, an institution working in the field of primary education, is bringing some such schools under one roof to showcase the work they “do with a difference.”
Grammangal has organised an exhibition at Ganesh Kala Krida Manch from February 28 to March 2 called “New Education-New Directions.” The experiments on new techniques of teachings will be demonstrated during the exhibition. “The effort will be a first of its kind in the country,” claimed Ramesh Panse, trustee of Grammangal. There are 20 schools in the State, which are running different experiments. “These schools have developed informal network among them but there was a need to showcase their work under one roof,” said Panse. “Most of these institutes have evolved an alternative to the established educational system- based on their researches in cognitive science, on one hand, and suitable to the environs of the children, on the other. Happily, even many other private and government schools have also benefited,” he said.
Aksharnandan, Srujan Anand, Ankur Vidyalaya, Maharashtra Balshikshan Parishad, Nutan Balshikshan Sangh, Homi Bhaba Science Centre, MKCL are participating in the exhibition.
