Chandigarh, March 2 A person's handwriting reveals a lot about his personality. Graphology is a powerful tool for educators in understanding the intellectual, emotional, social and developmen aspects of children. These were the views of Mohan Ray, a handwriting expert, during a seminar on Graphology for teachers at DAV Model School, Sector 15.

Ray highlighted the benefits of graphology for teachers. “Parents these days often put their children under pressure for performing well without realising the effect it has on their wards at the psychosocial level. Also, the fear of ridicule prevent children from sharing their insecurities with their parents and teachers. This is where graphology can play a role in understanding children better,” said Ray.

Ray also illustrated the various ways in which graphology is becoming a popular assessment tool these days. People are getting their handwriting assessed for matchmaking before marriages, business partnerships, personality development, career guidance, counselling, etc.
