Pune Green Build Products, a city-based company that manufactures eco-friendly products used in the construction industry, launched its website on Tuesday. Shashank Paranjpe, MD, Paranjpe Schemes Constructions launched the website. The company, in particular, focuses on construction materials that save water.

Using environmental pollutants such as fly-ash and bottom-ash, which are generally harmful and difficult to dispose, the products are manufactured. These are available as wet mix, ready-to-use, with no additions required, whether water or chemicals. The products include a jointing adhesive for bricks/blocks, plastering for bricks/blocks, grouting material and a crack sealer.

“The cost of the products might be around 5-10% more than that of regular products, but what makes our products so special is the fact that since it is a wet-mix, the labour-cost and the cost of additional material can be cut down,” says Pradeep Joshi, MD, Green Build Products. “The use of our product also results in saving a lot of time and energy ,” he added. The company has been awarded the GS Parkhe Award by the Mahratta Chamber of Commerce, Industries and Agriculture (MCCIA) for their jointing adhesive, and the company has already received its international patent.

Shilpa Joshi, technical director, said, “The entire technology behind the development of our products is water-based, non-hazardous and user-friendly. There are no by-products during the manufacturing.”

Since its foundation in 2005, the company has been targeting environmentally sound solutions for the construction business. Pradeep Joshi said, “We are committed to offering eco-friendly products, but we have a particular focus on water conservation. Today, water-scarcity is a real danger, and water saved in construction can be used productively elsewhere." Five Puneites elected to MSLTA's managing committee.
