Chandigarh A day after BJP investor cell chief Sukhminder Pal Singh Grewal spoke against Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Badal, the state BJP today suspended him from the party. Punjab BJP president Rajinder Bhandari said Grewal has been suspended with immediate effect for anti-party activities. Grewal had yesterday accused Sukhbir of taking control of the cable network in the state and had claimed that it would have serious implications. The ruling Akali Dal took a strong note of the “outburst” by the leader of the alliance. His suspension, party sources say, is likely to dampen the BJP’s prospects ahead of the polls.
