Panchkula Nearly a month after Harjinder Singh, a security guard at the Sector 8 post office, was found murdered, his family is running from pillar to post to see the culprits behind the bar. The police, meanwhile, have not made any breakthrough yet.

On January 5, thieves had struck at the Sector-8 post office. Harjinder had been missing since the incident. A day later, Harjinder’s body was found near the Herbal Park in Sector 26.

“The police are simply sleeping over the issue. They are making no efforts to trace the accused. We are being made to run from one police post to the other in our quest for justice,” said Swaran Singh, Harjinder’s brother.

He added that the family has been pursuing the case and that they have not been contacted for investigation ever since the murder.

Talking to Newsline, Station House officer, Sector 5, Inspector Baljit Singh said, “We do have vital clues in the case and are investigating into the matter. We hope to crack it soon.”
