Their problem is increasing with each passing day, as food and other supplies at their homes are on verge of drying up. Most of them are facing problem in contacting their relatives in India as they have been out of cards required for making telephone calls.
While some reports said that the families were ready to leave the troubled country, Visa Oswal community leaders said the Gujarati families, who have significant financial interest in that country, were waiting for things to calm down. “The people I have been talking to are not yet ready to fly to India by leaving things and businesses to fate. They have been waiting for peace to return, assess the loss and start a fresh,” said Chandrakant Shah, a Visa Oswal community leader from Jamnagar.
