RLCR XI won the toss and opted to bat first. But the decision proved wrong as the team lost first two wickets at a score of just 8 runs in the second over.

Two more wickets fell subsequently and the team was struggling at 16 for 4 in 4.1 overs. In a fight back, Vipin Sharma (39) and Gurdeep Rana (65) put up a 5th wicket partnership of 77 runs.
