Harayan Chief Minister goes on inauguration spree in Panchkula

Panchkula, January 4 The Haryana Chief Minister, Bhupinder Singh Hooda inaugurated the Government Girls College on Friday. He claimed that the state government has earmarked a sum of Rs 115 crore in the plan budget for education. Hooda said that emphasis was being laid to promote qualitative education.

He said that a Women university had been created at Khanpur Kalan. Haryana Deputy CM Chander Mohan said that special attention was being paid to impart technical education to the youth. He said the budget for technical education has been increased to Rs 150 crore.

Haryana Education Minister, Mange Ram Gupta, said that the government was providing free tool kits to the girl students in technical education classes.

Meanwhile, the Haryana CM also inaugurated the State TB Centre and Drug Store in Sector 6. He directed the health authorities to provide free medicines to poor patients. Hooda also laid the foundation stone of Confed building. The Louis Braillee Memorial Award-2008 was also distributed.

The CM also laid the foundation stone of head office of Power Generation Corporation Limited ‘Urja Bhawan’ in Sector 17.
