The campaign would be led by Election Campaign Committee chairman Venod Sharma and other members, including Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda, Haryana Pradesh Congress Committee president Phool Chand Mullana, HPCC working president Kuldeep Sharma, would be a part of the exercise, besides the MPs and the MLAs.

When contacted, Sharma said at least four Assembly constituencies of a Lok Sabha seat would be covered every day under the campaign.

It must be noted that even as the ball would be set rolling from Kalka, there is still no trace of the local MLA, former deputy chief minister Chander Mohan, alias Chand Mohammad, who has not been seen in public since early this month.

Kalka, Panchkula, Naraingarh and Ambala City constituencies would be covered on February 21.

In Ambala, Selja, the sitting MP, seems most likely to get the high command’s nod for contesting the elections again, though HPCC president Phool Chand Mullana has also thrown in his hat for the ticket.

On February 22, the campaign would cover Ambala Cantt, Mullana, Sadhaura, Jagadhari and Yamunanagar, before concluding on March 10, after covering Fatehabad, Sirsa, Ellanabad, Rania,Kalanwali and Mandi

Dabwali constituencies.

Respective party MLAs, district and block presidents have been asked to be present. Industries Minister Lachman Das Arora and MLA Dura Ram, too, would also be present during the campaign, according to the party’s schedule.
